Installing a Copy of XP to the MG2 without an Optical Drive

It is possible to install a fresh untouched version of Windows XP onto the MG2 without a CD or DVD Drive.

Using Win2Flash (Here) You can copy and make a Flash Card or USB Pen drive (Will be referred to as "Flash Device" from here on) Into a Windows Installation Media (It can be formatted for normal use after). This should be done from a Computer with a CD or DVD Drive.

Once you run the program it will ask where the CD is located and where the destination in, its as easy as picking the 2 correct drive letters and letting it run it will do everything for you.

Then Insert the Flash Device into the MG2 and power up the Unit Tapping F12 the Machine will ask where it should boot from select your Flash Device and it will boot off it.

You will come to a menu Select "Text only" The first option and it will start the Dos level install now this is important you will need to delete ALL the partitions and create a new one, this will avoid having to mess with a file on your installation Flash Device. once setup formats and reboots your MG2 Tap F12 again and again select the Flash Device your using to install windows, This time Select the 2nd option (Graphical) and continue with the installation as normal, at the end of this you will be prompted to reboot to complete setup reboot and the 3rd and final time again Tap F12 and select the Flash Device and select the 2nd option (Graphical) once you get to your desktop the Flash device is no longer needed and windows can be booted normally!

And that’s It job done, Enjoy your new copy of Windows XP!
