So Let me get this right
Somehow this new port which is less functional (doesn’t have widescreen support and options do not work there is no mandatory AA or such or any enhancements) requires…
- 2.4GHz more CPU Speed
- 1.9GB more RAM
- And at least a 200% Faster GPU Itself
Wait, what?
The Dreamcast Collection Edition of the game is really bad, its like they decided to re-port the game to PC ignoring the original port but never optimised it in the least or even got it running correctly… was they like “ok it runs on pc now that’s it we are done here!” I fall through the world, loose all textures and the game crashes very often on me! The original port while still flawed somewhat with the bugs of the original release did not add even more! Even the options cannot work without issue on the DCC Release!
On the very same machine with the same settings the DCC version runs at 17-25FPS mostly when in levels…. Original Release I cant get to go below 60FPS
It’s worth noting that SEGA has yet to fix anything to do with this mess as of yet
