thinking of adding more stuff to the site including details on my handheld consoles, thoughts?

Our new kitchen is almost installed and is looking rather great with integrated cooker and dishwasher! I also have to give huge props to the landlord's handy man, he has worked his ass off almost fully solo on the kitchen though when he has needed help I have been right there, also gotta have it to the plumber he did his work so fast we near enough blinked and missed him Lol. The electrician however is a whole other thing all together. he could quite possibility be the laziest and whiniest sparky I have ever seen! He even turned up on one day to tell us he couldn't come that day... and worse the reason is to work on his own kitchen. I'm no electrician personally though I checked his work he has come 4 times and every time drank a lot of our coffee and did nearly no work at all unless you count wiring 1 plug socket and attaching 3 wires to the cooker top. all in all what he has done most could do in about 20 min's he however took 4 visits and almost 2 hours Lol. oh and yes he is a qualified electrician.
now we have to wait at least 3 days till the electrician can be bothered to come back to actually wire in the lighting and plug sockets! yay.... the final parts of the kitchen all on hold for the twat. Thanks to a good friend I have a sega nomad coming! So expect some mods and bits about that soon! It's deffo been a long winded experience all this.
How it all started was this: My iPhone 4's home button was getting a bit odd occasionally not reacting or double tapping and re-calibrating the button didn't help I left it a few weeks but it started to get worse so I started looking into repairs but it wasn't urgent since it worked most of the time... I Posted on a forum or two about the situation and one guy came up with a solution which was rather plausible seemed a bit risky to me and against my better judgement I followed his advice of some cleaning solution near drowning the home button then press it a few times turn it on its face on a cloth and press a few more times to remove the cleaner to clear up the potential grime... I regretted that it near killed the home button and started causing the dock connector to malfunction... At that point for my own budget the iPhone 4 was beyond economical repair and kicking myself I decided to sell it on eBay as a spares or repair broken phone listing its faults. Surprisingly it sold for a huge sum... £143 / $225 / 160€ It wasn't enough to get me another iPhone 4 or better and didn't want to downgrade so I went ahead and started looking at the best android I could get for the cash on eBay and found I could get an Unlocked Galaxy S2 for that much! I was rather happy with that as the specs of the S2 makes the iPhone 4 look crap aside from screen res. So bought that up! free traceable shipping too! Thats where everything started to go downhill... You see I am in Norway and use UK eBay... and it arrived in Norway really fast but then got held up for 5 days at the letter center and then went to the dreaded place... "Consignment is assumed dutiable and has been sent to customs for clearance". FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU- After clearing not one but TWO customs offices its on its way to me again but now I expect I am about to get anal raped by Import tax. :'( IF they followed the invoice in the box it shouldn't be too bad but ive had an experience when they didn't.... My phone has continued on to me but Posten are slower than a dead sloth so I expect ill have to wait till mid next week to get my hands on it and find out the damage to my wallet... I hope to hell no one bad mouths me today as I've had quite enough for one day and its not even noon.
It would seem our new post office is full of lazy cunts as well as posten in general making sure my packages go as slow as humanly possible, I Have been waiting for the parts to fix my Pokemon Edition DSLite for 3 weeks now and there is no end in sight of my waiting. Recently they closed down our normal post office in favour of a "Post in shop" thing which is an even longer trip to collect stuff then the old one but this new one is the worst post point I think I've ever seen. My first time there they LOST someone's package ahead of me... Now I have 2 packages coming in one has already arrived there and been scanned in however even that one took far longer than it should have, However my other package with the shit I have been waiting for seems to have vanished of the face of the earth and I'm about ready to punch a Posten worker in the damn face... Some may say contact there hotline! there less useful than a chocolate saucepan they just tell you what you could see on the website and refuse to do anything more... which is what they did when they lost a whole NETBOOK being sent to me On top of that, Apple customer care is known to be very good.... except I have seemed to pull the idiot. For a time I didn't have my own Norway bank card and as such couldn't use it on my Apple ID So I used my girlfriends, well since then I got my own card for Norway and thought id transfer it to my name... Changing the Billing address however had a small problem... they wont let me change "Miss" to "Mr" but changing the full name is fine... So I contact support and they tell me how to change my billing address which I already tried but cant edit the one detail I used so I told em that and for some reason he must have derped as he then said oh add your card to the system it will be fine -.- no it wont the bank will not take it as it will check the billing address and see the Miss that should be Mr but I did it anyway,,,, and as I expected it declines my card due to that fact so I have wrote a angry email stating for the 3rd time now what is the issue going as far as to attach a image highlighting the "Miss" and having 3 arrows pointing towards it... Knowing my luck today he will still "miss" the point... And to cap it all off... my mouse is acting up jittering all over the place for no damned reason (Microsoft Wireless 1000) causing me to actually get frustrated enough to throw it across the room... ![]() The new version of iOS has arrived and while it does not block Evasi0n from Jailbreaking your iDevice I have noticed it has a nasty side effect at least on my 2 iPhone’s, The iPhone 3GS 16GB and iPhone 4 16G Both times trying to upgrade to iOS 6.1.2 it has caused the iPhone to have to be restored to factory default. While this normally goes without saying I am putting this out there to drive it home for this update especially. BACK UP YOUR APPS AND DATA! Both my 3GS and 4 failed to update and had to be restored to factory default (3GS took 2 attempts to restore but could have been the cable I used) and I had to restore my data from there. Once that is done however Jailbreaking it again is all fine and same procedure as always! Get Evasion here -Kouen Sorry people there has not been more updates, my life has been a bit of a roller coaster and not all of it good I'm afraid. But alas I'm still alive and well and have some stuff that needs to be sorted before posting.
New tech has been and will be coming in! One of my friends (Imperial Productions on YouTube) is sending me a Packard Bell MB88 limited edition laptop that is in need of a little work! This is going to be a amusing project as the fault is mostly the Nvidia 8600m GS GPU which is giving the typical signs of death that most Nvidia 8xxx GPU's get. Another item incoming comes from another friend ("Dylan The Analog Man" on YouTube) a iPod touch 3rd generation which the digitiser needs attention so expect some posts about that! Another item that was recently given to me is an iPhone 4! Unfortunately however it's locked to a network I do not use (Tele2) so expect news on that when its unlocked. Well that's all for now thanks to my friends who are passing me stuff! OK, many of you know that I have been rather annoyed at NCSoft for the poor treatment myself and my partner have been given by there customer services.
We have had our accounts locked and banned for no reason, items go missing and there customer service is on par with EA when you talk to them. So many was shocked to see me boot up Guild Wars 2 and here is more regarding this. Originally I had planned to boycott NCSoft published games for the future due to the very very poor treatment and kept that mindset even after Guild Wars 2's release what changed my mind was a video by Jim Sterling on the escapist. To cut the long video short why boycott the publisher it won't send the right message and they will instead blame the developer thinking they failed! But instead why not buy it and bitch n moan leading to bad pr for the publisher as pr matters to them more and will send the more correct message. So with that in mind I'm now playing Guild Wars 2... A Charr Hunter to be exact -Kouen Been messing with this iOS device for a few days now and getting to grips with it, so I'll start to draft up some articles for reading on this iPhone!
In other news I had hoped to bring you a repair guide or some stuff on the htc diamond 2 but the screen that arrived from China was DOA and a new unit sent out for me. As for palm I'm also waiting on that from a friend in the us and since its a lower priority device im not as worried, patience is a virtue and since a friend is gonna fire it my way outta his own pocket I'm not about to bite the hand that feeds me That's about it really -kouen Indeed, as the title says today I finished up another phone repair!
In this case it is a Nokia 7360 which is a bit older and not a Smartphone but in this case its intended use was for my girlfriends young daughter! I Had to do a few things to this one |
